P-A-R-T-Y!!
I've just come back from an AWESOME party. So I thought I'd better type my blog now while the memory's fresh (and the alcohol is still in my system.) please bear in mind that I am on my mom's extrememly noisy keyboard so any typing errors are down to me trying to type gently and quietly...Well it was Laura French's 18th Birthday party. Laura is a beautiful, sunshiney, intelligent person and she invited me, so i went. Dave didn't but it's just as well cos he wouldn't have enjoyed it; it was too much like a huge high school reunion, and I wouldn't have liked him being left out of it. I had heard through the grapevine that my ex, Nick, was likely to turn up so i went looking my absolute sparklingest, basically cos I'm a harsh cow and I wanted to make him feel bad.
As it happened he didn't turn up - and I'm glad cos Id probably have got moody and upset about it. or I'd have ignored him the whole time and created a bad atmosphere. But everyone else turned up - people I haven't seen for the past two years who have exclaimed how great I'm looking and "hasn't everyone changed since school??" YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN!!!
Most of the people I haven't spoken to for the past few years are now gay. Or bisexual. Example, Toby. Ok, bad example cos he's never really been as innocent as most people thought, but he is looking so good nowadays! And as he explained, revenge is a dish best served cold (his ex cheated on him so he leaked to the police that she dealt coke, even though she didn't. but what a revenge!!) I've missed him a lot really, I'm hoping he's coming for a drink with us in a couple of weeks. He reminded me of something I'd said a few years back when I was with my ex ex Ross about liking him but not enough to leave Ross; I'm not too sure of the truth really. I just remember we were very close back then, me, him and Charlie.
Charlie hasn't changed that much. If anything, she seems more mellow. Last time I spoke to her properly was last summer, when uni was all sex drugs and rock n roll (yes I vaguely remember that time too). Since then things have calmed down. Either that or there's shit loads she's not telling me. She did tell me a lot of gossip about the other people though. She told me Laura Hand was insanely jealous of me cos Charlie chose to kiss me instead of Laura at Gemma's party. Ha! She also told me the truth behind the story that Mr. Tinsley only gave me half the story to! i.e. Ami Claire, Tinsley?? if you feel like telling me the truth any time soon, feel free...
I made up with Rob. Well, I kinda went up to him and asked if we were still friends and he thought we'd sorted it out last summer - but I haven't spoken to him for ages so I thought he was still mad at me. We both shrieked and hugged and said all our "I missed you"s and stuff and now we're good pals again, which is great cos if we'd fallen out forever it would have been a huge shame. Didn't really ask him what he'd been up to; Sandy filled in most of the gaps for me. Nothing too interesting.
Huge shock of the night: Buzz (or Mark Burrows) is a changed man! A vastly changed man! An unrecognisable man! He looks absolutely amazing now from what i remember of him (going back some three years now!) He's got great hair! He doesnt wear his glasses any more! He has awesome clothes! He looks so confident and good spirited! He's bisexual - did NOT see that one coming! Charlie divulged how he'd been thrown from the closet - and I won't divulge, as i'm quite shocked by it frankly! He reminded me that I was the first girl he ever kissed (not that I knew that and could barely remember it!) and began telling me what was going on but we're gonna have a proper catch-up when we go out in a few weeks. But i really did not recognise him for ages until we went over to talk to some other people we hadnt seen.
Like Chris Davies, who I didn't recognise (and is now not the biggest fan of Nick - like most people who were there) He's still jobless and stuff, bless him. There was also Matt Allsopp (after I've liked him for so many years during high school and having me and Helen drooling over him and Nigel, i've suddenly gone off him. Kind of.) Saw Steve Wakefield too, saying he goes to Birmingham uni I never see him! So it was nice to see him tonight.
There was a mass number and email address swapping as the night came to a close and I think quite a lot of people are coming out for a drink with us in a few weeks which is good cos it was hard to catch up at the party; there were just too many people to talk to and not enough time to do it in. nywho, the alcohol is wearing off now, even though I can still taste the tia maria that Rob bought me, mixed with the smirnoff Ice Sandy bought me. How'd I manage that one?? I'm so glad we're one big happy family again though, just me, Rob, Charlie, Sandy and Gemz. It's allllll good!
